Hey everyone just a reminder to post to the blog a screen shot or render of your project before class each Tuesday and Thursday. Please don't forget to write a quick one or two sentences stating what you've been doing. I am checking them right before class to see where everyone is at so please post!
Also, on the top of your post please insert the date.

Online Reference
Here are a few websites that I found that you may find useful:
Lynda.com
http://cgresource.net/index.php
and of course the Digital Tutors are all on the computer in the corner (the one I use), they can be a great resource!

The Learning Curve
So, I keep forgetting to post my stuff on here. Here we go-
Here's the first look at my rough draft. I started this about 5 different times, and I still learned new things I would have changed.

By this point I've started to get things into position and I've added the foam.

Starting to fine tune and smooth things out.

Finally to the point of mirroring but as you can see from the gap on the foam, I didn't do a good job. Frustrating. Although, I learned the importance of aligning your points.

Another shot with the strap added. Thanks to Mason for his help!

Bracelet cont....

Here is my bracelet, or half a bracelet once again. Today I applied my UVs for the band and have it ready to create my bump map. It took quite awhile with lots of help to get it right and figure out more of the possibilities with UVs. I ended up doing different planar maps (3 on each side) and sewing them together. But it is coming along, slowly, but surely.

The Bracelet
Susie Tibbitts - Gino Chandelier
So here it is. I still have a few problems but it is close. I could not get the mesh vertex tool to work which made me crazy and so I guess it will render differently that I thought. The filament I placed inside the bulb keeps blowing apart when I try to instance it so I just left it alone for now. I tried to group it and then instance it like I did with the lights and arms but that didn't work. That is how it goes I guess!
