Extruding Illustrator files

Here are some images of me extruding my illustrator files.

Here's what I did-
-In illustrator I Saved As an Illustrator 8 file
-Then in I went into Maya, file>import, chose my file
-The grabbed the EP curve tool (create>EP curve tool) and drew a line the thickness I wanted the watch
-Then selected both my illustrator path and EP curve and surfaces>extrude
-Next, deleted the ep curve and selected the watch, then wen to Modify>Convert>NURBS to polygon
-Done. Now just a bunch of tweaking on the polygon.

Dishware modeling

I have finished most of the modeling for the basic dishware, and have converted them from NURBS to polys and will soon start to lay out the UVs.

Cornice Apparel

Well, I haven't gotten too far but here are my sketches and here is my illustrator file. I plan on importing my illustrator file into Maya and then extruding it... so, I'm going to take some extra time to make sure the illustrator file is nice and tight.

Steven's watch

I have started to model out my watch. I know that most of my time on this project will be on the materials so I am trying to be quick and efficient with the modeling so that I can get going on the rest.

New project

My new project will be a dishware set that I will be modeling and designing as well. More to come on the environment... I have started modeling the plates and bowls and will go from there.
