10.5 - Starting My UV

I started working on laying out my UV's. I also learned about quick select sets- Very nice. Now I just need to get my logo in order and start adding the images. I'm also thinking of going back a couple steps to a non-mirrored goggle to setup my UV's and make a couple tweaks. I've re-done these goggles a ridiculous amount of times now but I'm getting faster and more efficient each time.

Bracelet- beginning lighting

I have just begun to set up my lighting. I have one point light and set up the basic settings as well as applied a my materials. And this is one of my first renders.

the shoe: 10-5-10

I have done the uv's and just need to adjust the way that they lay a little.

Class Reminder

Hey everyone just a reminder to post to the blog a screen shot or render of your project before class each Tuesday and Thursday. Please don't forget to write a quick one or two sentences stating what you've been doing. I am checking them right before class to see where everyone is at so please post!

Also, on the top of your post please insert the date.

Online Reference

Here are a few websites that I found that you may find useful:

Lynda.com

and of course the Digital Tutors are all on the computer in the corner (the one I use), they can be a great resource!

The Learning Curve

So, I keep forgetting to post my stuff on here. Here we go-

Here's the first look at my rough draft. I started this about 5 different times, and I still learned new things I would have changed.

By this point I've started to get things into position and I've added the foam.

Starting to fine tune and smooth things out.

Finally to the point of mirroring but as you can see from the gap on the foam, I didn't do a good job. Frustrating. Although, I learned the importance of aligning your points.

Another shot with the strap added. Thanks to Mason for his help!
